Security window film can protect life, limb and furniture from many dangers. It is a ready-made precaution, yet strong enough to minimize the damage of any flying glass shards that you can't afford to ignore it.
Security Window Film
There are two main types of window film: reflective and tinted. Reflective type reflects sunlight and heat; tinted type absorbs and redistributes sunlight and heat. Reflective films block heat and light at the lowest cost, but they often contain metal (not great in our world full of WiFi and cell phone signals) and their reflectivity at night can ruin your view inside a building. Tinted films used to be dark so they could absorb more light, but new technological advances mean you can now get non-metallic, 5G-friendly "tinted" films that are crystal clear and have gorgeous views during the day or night.
Think about it: since your interior film has to absorb light and heat through your building's glass before it can redistribute most of it outside (since the film is on the inside of the glass), this means that your film allows light and heat into your window glass at least a little bit of the time. However, if your exterior film absorbs light and heat before it penetrates your glass and redistributes it out ...... then, obviously, this will have better thermal resistance.
If you have strange interior surfaces such as atriums, skylights or conservatory roofs, it will take longer to perform an interior commercial window tinting installation than if you decide to install the film outdoors.
Also, installing window tinting film in an office building is less disruptive to tenants, and exterior applications are easy for contractors to access if various areas of your building require security clearance or third-party privacy certification.
When exterior films are applied, they often contain a water-soluble substance. Exterior films often contain a hydrophobic coating that helps protect them from the elements, and this hydrophobic coating can help repel dirty, streaky water marks from the windows.

Clean your windows thoroughly with an application solution or a mixture of 1 teaspoon of baby shampoo to 1 gallon of bottled water. Use a solution of tear-free baby shampoo and bottled water to provide the correct pH and final clarity to your project. Never use any cleaner containing vinegar or ammonia to clean the film or windows, as this could damage the film. Scrape away any paint or grime. Spray the window again, clean the glass with a squeegee and dry the glass and window frame with a microfiber cloth.
